Behavioral Health Care Job Openings

Pinnacle Behavioral Health, Inc. (PBH), located in Huntsville, AL, provides behavioral health services for adolescents and their families. PBH programs are accredited by The Joint Commission and its school is accredited by Cognia (formerly AdvancED). Programs serving boys and girls from ages 12 - 18 and grades 6 - 12 include:

  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Ages 13 - 18
  • Residential Facility, Elk River Treatment Program (ERTP), Ages 12 - 18
  • Pinnacle Virtual Private Academy, Grades 6 - 12

Pinnacle leaders recognized the need for an adolescent IOP that specializes in treating substance use disorders and mental health challenges that often co-occur with substance use. We acknowledge that there are many treatment options available and not every teen requires a residential treatment setting. Some experts believe that if the child is not a safety risk, the least intensive treatment option is the best starting place. Our experience researching insurance has taught us that IOP services are more commonly covered - especially prior to covering residential services. At Pinnacle, we advocate against allowing someone to "hit bottom" or wait until the problem becomes so severe that it is difficult to reverse in a less restricted outpatient setting.

Pinnacle Behavioral Health's Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is licensed by the Alabama Department of Mental Health to provide substance use and mental health services for youth ages 13 - 18. Located at 4812 Commercial Drive NW, Huntsville, AL 35816, Pinnacle IOP is staffed with mental health professionals that provide a directive, person-centered approach to therapy that focuses on improving an individual's motivation to change. We recognize that substance use disorders are often a symptom of underlying beliefs, feelings and/or mental health challenges that are difficult for a child to address appropriately. Recognizing and treating core issues that drive negative behaviors is crucial to developing and sustaining healthier and happier lifestyles.

Elk River Treatment Program (ERTP) is a therapeutic residential treatment program that specializes in treating individuals with emotional, behavioral and/or substance abuse issues. While in our program, boys and girls in grades 6 - 12 continue their education through our accredited, college-prep school located on the 120+ acres in Elkmont, AL.

Pinnacle Virtual Private Academy is designed for any student who has not completed his/her high school courses and wishes to earn a high school diploma.

Pinnacle Behavioral Health (PBH) also provides individual Outpatient Counseling services for children, adolescents and adults. PBH incorporates treatment and intervention techniques to increase the strengths and resources of each client and his or her family. Outpatient counseling is delivered by licensed providers with strong credentials and clinical experience in child, adolescent and adult behavioral health.

If you are considering a career in adolescent counseling, education or nursing, please print and submit the Employment Application at the end of this web page and/or send us your resume. Qualified individuals must pass federal, state and local screenings before employment at one of our programs.
